Getting Started

Santa Speedo Run is a one mile holiday celebration through Historic Ybor City that brings together community, laughter, and giving back in support of the ICG Foundation. It's less about racing and more about creating Tampa Bay's newest holiday tradition.

If spots remain, yes. However, we highly recommend registering early because participation may be limited.

Absolutely. If your plans change, you may transfer your registration to another participant up to 12/01/2026.

Life happens, and we understand. Because Santa Speedo Run is a fundraising event benefiting the ICG Foundation, registration fees are non-refundable. If you're unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another participant so your support continues to make a difference.

Costumes

Not at all. While we'd love to see a sea of Santa hats and red Speedos, what you wear is entirely up to your comfort level. Whether it's a Speedo, running shorts, leggings, or a full Santa suit, confidence is always in style.

Absolutely! Participants and teams can compete in the Santa Slay Awards, with the top finalists battling it out during the Santa Slay-Off for ultimate bragging rights.

Please do. The more festive, creative, and over-the-top, the better.

The goal is simple: make people smile, not uncomfortable. We encourage creativity, holiday spirit, and plenty of festive flair. While Santa Speedo Run is all about having fun, costumes must remain family friendly and appropriate for a public event. Nudity, excessively revealing attire, sexually explicit costumes, offensive messaging, or anything that creates an unsafe or uncomfortable environment isn't permitted. When in doubt, ask yourself: Would Santa approve?

Teams & Fundraising

Yes! Friends, coworkers, gyms, businesses, neighbors, and chosen families are all welcome.

They sure do. Team fundraising unlocks exclusive rewards, VIP experiences, and automatic entry into the Santa Slay Awards.

No. Fundraising is optional, but every dollar helps the ICG Foundation expand access to HIV prevention, testing, education, and care.

Event Day

Santa Village is where the day begins. Meet Santa, grab some hot cocoa, explore local businesses and sponsor experiences, catch local entertainment, meet up with your crew, and get ready to hit the streets. It's also home to runner check-in and the official start and finish of the Santa Speedo Run.

Absolutely. One mile was just the warm-up. The celebration continues at Disco Pony with local entertainment, DJs, drinks, the Santa Slay Awards, and a live connection with the Chicago Santa Speedo Run happening the same day.

Of course. The more holiday cheer, the better! Family and friends are encouraged to come celebrate.

For those still on the Naughty List, the night keeps going. VIP registration includes admission to the official Santa Speedo Run After After Party at Mr. D'z in Ybor City from 12 AM to 5 AM.
